My paternal grandparents were from the west side of the Mississippi River in Bayou Goula.
Although damaged by hurricanes the spirit still lives.
My journey begins with south Louisiana roots. My maternal grandmother's roots were in St. Gabriel, Louisiana. Her family is Catholic and the church was an important part of their life.
